2002 Proton Wira LXI with LPG Expolice car
Proton wira with LPG conversion done by humberside police when new. Drives fine LPG fully working giving diesel type economy, I get around 300 miles on £37 pound fill of gas (I got around 475 to 500 on £73 in my diesel). The log book still has fuel listed has petrol. I brought this car while i was waiting for my insurance to pay out on my last car, I now have another car so need to sell this one quick. I have done around 1700 miles in it in the few weeks I have had it. It goes well and starts first time everyday before 8am It warms up quick and is running on gas within a mile which it switches to automaticly. The body work is not bad no rust that i can tell, it as a few dints the worst of which is in offside passenger door, at certain angles you can see where the police stickers have been. The interior is ok the seats are good just some holes in console where the switches for police stuff have been. Its not a beautiful car or the tidiest but its cheap on fuel and reliable, the boot stis still big even with the gas tank in. The heaters are good and putting out hot air very quickly. The LPG system is a pharos sequential system, I have been told this could be fitted to another car if wanted has it just taps into the engine ecu and the car believes its running on petrol (this is what i have been told and there may be more to it than a straight switch).
