I have for sale my trusty Proton Persona which has served me well over the last 4 years. The only reason I am selling is because I have now got a diesel vehicle because I can get my fuel through work and it is alot cheaper.
My proton has not let me down once even when it was minus 15 (last year) it struck up first time everytime. It has a mitsubishi engine under the bonnet that's why I have now got a diesel mitsubishi.
Good bits
In the last 4 years I have fitted new brake discs and pads, reconditioned power steering pump, last year I fitted new radiator (last one just started leaking a bit so changed it before winter), new middle exhaust and back box. The tyres have plenty of tread left on including the spare tyre which has never been used. Also when I purchased the vehicle I changed the head gasket and cam belt at 88,000miles. It is the high spec version for the year of the vehicle. Everything on the car works eg 2 stage air con (cold), 4 x electric windows, electric mirrors, adjustable electric headlights(move up and down), dashboard dimmer lights, back seat armrest, JVC cd player - which I fitted myself with a universal wiring loom so no wires were cut - I still have the original Blauplunkt radio/cassette player which is included in this sale. I serviced the vehicle regularly.
It has passed every MOT it has been put through in the last 4 years and the most I have spent on it to get it through an MOT is a back brake light bulb!
Bad bits (mainly cosmetic)
When I got the car the 'Old' keeper had tried to get down a gap that wasn't quite wide enough hence the scratches down each side plus a few small rust patches these have not got any worse in the last 4 years. There is small tear in the drivers side door card about the size of your thumbnail - apart from this the interior is immaculate. There is a small oil leak which hasn't got any worse in the last 4 years and it doesn't use anymore oil than usual. The reversing light hasn't worked for the last 4 years but it is not an MOT failure.
